three more weeks

As i look back on how fast my high school career has been and I learned a lot at the both schools I attended. It is scary, knowing that I am going to graduate but I know that I am ready to face the real world and move on towards a new chapter in my life. I always thought being a teacher would be a interest for me but I was never quite sure.

Education and Training showed me and helped figure that out which I am thankful for. This class should not only the importance of being a teacher but It also showed me the responsibilities and work they do. It was a great experience and a wonderful way to end my high school career.

Connecting to the real world

No, The material i learned throughout my years at school have been helpful but their were some teachers that lacked on the educating part.

Yes, I feel comfortable with managing my money, I have learned from my parents that you always want to separate your neccesities from your luxuries.

Yes, because even people who have graduated high school and have a family still lack financial skills.

What teachers want parents to know

Parents need to understand that they send their kids to school to learn and be educated. Teachers aren't babysitters as it says in the article. Parents should get their kids on the mindset and to look forward to going to school to learn and how it is important. Parents should be involved in some sort of way at least to help their kids out and also help the teacher out.

After reading the article I realized that parents should be more involved in their kids school , If parents are concerned on where they go outside of school and how they are outside their homes , they should be involved in their schools. They collaborate with their kids teachers and find out what the kids lack on and how they can improve educational and as a kid or teenager.

Classroom Rules

1. Do the task given and do it with joy
2. be aware of deadlines and keep up with work
3. love your job!
4. work hard!
5. do your best... always!
I think doing the work should be number one because

Enjoying the work we are given and doing it should be the number one rule because we chose this class for a reason. Since we are here and made the decision we should take the opportunity that we have and learn from this class.

The high cost of Education

The economy is already as bad as it is and right now the president is doing his best to do what he can to bring us out of it. Were he has focused on right now is government funding for college, yes education is important but giving out government money to colleges or students that can't even pay it back.
Its going to be difficult for some students to get money now from the government but their are many other options and ways to get money.

I have already applied for government funding (FAFSA)for college and I know that i could have done more but finding scholarship that would help my circumstances out are difficult. So I plan to work for my college and pay it off.

Creativity Counts

What Is Creativity?
It starts as a Idea than putting it into reality. When you have a idea but you don't put it into action it is just imaginative, not creative. It takes passion and commitment to make just a simple little creative idea into something new and useful In the real world.
Creativity can start In the classroom,Schools, or anything school related for that matter. Its very important to put creative lesson plans and projects that help a student spark that idea In there minds.

Hire me please!

We all get nervous before we go to a interview, yeah we get "jitters" but whenever Im finally face to face with the person that Is interviewing me, I can honestly say that Im very confident. My strengths are that I can keep a conversation and interact with just about anybody and when Im asked a serious question I answer them clear and with confidence.
I don't really have any weaknesses.... but I do speak In a low tone some times or I feel like Im just speaking words and not really knowing what I am saying. But usually I put myself on check and realize what Im doing wrong.

Digital Learning Day

Projectors can be used to present lesson plans to the students like notes, videos,or just a visual of something that you are teaching rather than just using boring paper.

My teacher uses a overhead that shows students a closer look at the work he Is showing rather than just writing stuff down on the board and make it hard for some students who can't see good from the back of the class.

Make It happen In 2012!

Things that I want to improve on this 2nd semester:

1: Improve more on my grades

2: Give my full potential and not slack off  In any assignment

3: Graduate with good grades.

This semester I really do believe that I can  achieve all of these goals that I had set, I have to apply myself and know what I must do In order to complete these tasks. I have to focus on my work and learn as much as I can from my teachers and apply that to my assignments or projects.

I must use my time wisely and know that my work Is not a race, I have to take my time with my assignments and make sure that I did my work right and that Its my best work. It sounds hard but If I determine myself to be successful I know that I can achieve and meet the goals that I have set for this 2nd semester. Like Tommy Lasorda said "The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a person's determination".

Reflections of a 3rd Grade Intern

I arrived at Foster Village Elementary, My first day as a Intern, I had mixed emotions at the time I was nervous and anxious. I really didn't know what to expect but I knew that I would experience a lot  and enjoy It there.

My teacher Mr. Bell Is a wonderful teacher, he can relate with the children and Is always organized and his lessons for the students are fun and educational. Seeing a teacher like that has given me a picture of how I want to be as a teacher. When he  explains a new topic and goes over with it with the students, When its time for them to do their  assignment over the topic they just went over, they  understand what they are doing. I learned that there are ways to teach to a point where It makes It understandable for the whole class.

When I first signed up for being a Intern I really didn't have a clear picture on how I wanted to be a teacher or how a teacher actually make lesson plans and handle a classroom. The time that I have had at Foster Village has really taught me on how to setup lesson plans and how to interact with the students. I still have a lot to learn and I still have more time to learn at Foster Village  and I know that they still have a lot  to offer me.

The Ideal Classroom

My Ideal classroom would be to have tables and assigned the students In groups rather than putting them In desk. They would learn to cooperate with each other and work.
