Grinch or Santa?

My reasons on why they should allow christmas celebration at schools.

1: Lets be honest kids look at christmas as a fun time with there classmates and they just want to enjoy the holidays. They have the right to celebrate a national holiday. Its not a crime.

2: If there are parents that are very religious and don't believe the christmas celebrations that take place in their kids classes, they can sure not let them go If thats there choice. Public schools shouldn't be held back from celebrating a holiday just because a religious parent is offended, thats not fair to the other children.

3: The parents have the right to practice their own religion, Its one of our rights, but the kids and the schools also have the right to celebrate christmas. Theres no point in making a big deal of the schools celebrating christmas. If you don't like It dont take your kids to school that day.

American Teacher

After watching the movie American Teacher It showed me that being a teacher Is not for everyone. Sure its stressful and the way the movie talked about a teachers job made It seem very difficult. I do still want to be a teacher because I want to set a students foundation or help students start there careers and get them ready for the world. I noticed that all the teachers In that movie kind of struggled economically. Teachers dont get paid as much as they should but they still have their jobs and they should focus more on how they are educating there student

Why do students procrastinate?

One of the bullets on the  procrastinating article that i read spoke about how some students procrastinate because they cant focus sometimes or are just distracted by other thing or daydream. That part related with me because I do get distracted in class by my phone or other things but that doesn't mean that i don't want to learn its just hard to stay focus on someone talking for a long period of time.
Even if i do procrastinate I eventually realize what the consquences are if i dont finish my tasks. I motivate myself to accomplish my goals.

If i could change education I would......

Mr. Robinsons education video was very inspiring and the things he talked about in this video were very intriguing and it shows that the education system still has more to improve and there is still so many things and methods we can use to educate students.  Education is changing and we have gone from just using paper or reading off a book to power points, experiments and many other things. I would want to change education by get out of the routines and "old school" methods we always use and start new things.

Foreshadowing clues.
Students will read through a story then stop and the teacher would talk and discuss with the students on what has happened so far in the story and then ask students what they think is going to happen as they continue reading.

2B ask questions to the students about the story. and they have to support there answers with information from the story.
3 Let students read the story out loud so they can understand appropriate phrasing and be accurate and understand what there reading.

My first week as a teacher.

This week i went to my site school and met the teacher and students i am working with. My assigned school is Foster Village Elementary and i am teaching third graders.

When im there the kids are learning reading and writing skills, and my first day when i got there i was kinda nervous because i didnt know what to expect but i was really excited to teach those kids and i love trying new things and i was looking forward to it. It was a succesful first day and i got to interact with the children and they are just so cool! Throughout the year i really want to teach the class and get to learn more about the teachers role and responsibility in the classroom.

This link that i posted above talks about how technology has advanced and how it has changed our communities and the world. We are more involved with technology especially at school. Teachers use computers and projectors to present and teach there students. There is nothing wrong with this because it makes it much simpler and easy to teach the students. We must embrace technology because it is such a helpful resource and is way much faster to do work on.

How technology changed society

Technology has advanced a lot over the years, every day people are coming up with smarter and more efficient ways to communicate or share information with one another. The technology we have in today society plays a big role in peoples lives, for example we have social networks and chat rooms to communicate with people or we have blogs and online news to share information localy or around the world. Technology is a great tool and it should be used for only good reasons, the internet shouldnt be a bullying area where people are insulted or made fun of through social networks. People are already ridiculed and looked down by society and the internet is just pushing them more.
